The Plate Engine Mounting Front, P/N 7372578, WO-649823 looks like the foot for the right motor mount bends toward the back of the jeep and the foot for left motor mount bends toward the front of the jeep. The Plate Engine Mounting Front on my M38A1 both feet bend toward the back of the jeep. The previous owner installed a metal plate between left side foot and motor mount because they do not line up. Are the feet on the Plate Engine Mounting Front interchangeable? I thought it was one piece. Is there a variant to that part where both feet bend toward the back of the jeep? I am trying to figure out what I have.

The front mount plates came both ways. Two different plates. You have the early (pre-M38A1) plate. Only correct move forward is to find the correct plate with left leg forward and right leg aft. They are one piece.

This is the correct plate for the M38 & M38A1

This is the earlier L134 plate with both mount legs facing aft.
