NOPE, all the locking hubs do is make the front wheels free wheeling. Use them all the time to save wear on the front drivetrain...

How much money do you want to spend?

Do you want new or used?

I see a few on Ebay. I searched "Dana 25 Locking Hubs"

There are usually a lot of these but a lot of folks vanished under the Facebook carpet the last few months. Their loss!

Let's start with what they do for you. Actually they do TWO things:
1 - Lock the wheel hub to the drive axle when you select "Lock".
2 - Allow the hub and axle to rotate freely of each other when you select "UnLock".

There are several types, some still in production and some not. Try to pick something still in production. It gives you a better shot at spare parts.

The web sites are loaded with info and manuals for them so just surf and learn.

"Under the facebook carpet" is right. Since you opened that can Wes, a big x2 on that!

Got to admit that I look once in awhile for the entertainment value, but won't ever join that hot mess. Never saw such goofy and mal-informed in 3 lines or less stuff from adults in my life. Shocked

The really laughable part is that I heard facebook is all the old folks now (over 30). Apparently the young folks ditched it eons ago. Sure can't blame them. It's embarrassing. I'm not a Twit either....my old school flip phone would explode.

And if that's the future (God help us!), I'm glad to be left alone surfing here as long as I can. Very Happy

I have the Dualmatic lever type locking hubs but have been unable to find those locking tabs or gaskets, I saw a post from several years ago RonD2 where he had rebuilt his and found new parts, maybe he will share his source,

Thanks in advance

Thanks Ron. The pair you re-finished look fantastic. I have a set with same style of lever.

Ive used Warn on my vehicles for 5 decades now. To date, never had a problem. But, mine would all be classified "vintage" by now so I can't speak to modern versions.
