Accelerator pump diaphragm. Should any fuel pass the diaphragm. End cap had fuel in it.
Hard to start and hesitates when accelerating from idle. Distributor, points and coil all good. New plugs. 1952 M38 YS carburator.

i have had diaphragms leak around the center metal cup. hard to see.

It’s leaking somewhere. Took carb apart and cleaned everything. Would idle but nothing more than idle
