Set up my redneck wind chime and did a little painting. I only had about a quart or less left from body last summer... I should have just let it go. I had ordered 2 more gallons. The old stuff got chunky and was not good for my HVLP gun. I ended up spraying it a little dry. Letting the old paint harden. Will use the new paint from now on.

Had several parts orders show up. Some stuff had been back ordered a while. Got most of my Midwest military order- waiting on the radiator,

I ordered a spare tire and tube in July. Still not here.

Really only need some small stuff for the engine. I think everything else is in one form of backorder or sitting on my garage shelf.

Didn’t do a lot today though. Mostly cleaning.
Off tomorrow and will detail my garage and my cars. Sold the Ford Focus and pick up a new Bronco on Monday.

Went through some of the parts boxes I have from when I bought this Jeep. No idea if this works.

Sparton 12v horn.

I’ll charge my battery and give a try. I need to try some of the lights too...

Gonna figure out how to make my 24v blackout light a 12v bulb too. Worst that can happen is I bust the lens.

The original 24 volt blackout light has the bulb and lens all together like the old headlights if I remember correctly. Unless you are going to use it to see, maybe try putting 12 volts to it. It will be half dim. Maybe just dummy wire it and leave it not working. Just a couple of thoughts.

I think newer versions, different models, different look might actually have a bulb you can change.

My ranch heap came with no horn. Found a 12 volt on eBay.

The hair stood up on the back of my neck when I wired it and put 12 volts to it.

Sounded like a jeep!!

Need to look at getting a fuel pump and a carb. I have just about everything else I need.

What's the plan here April? you gonna go with the YS637 and fuel/vac pump?

My carb is a Carter W-0.... not what I was hoping it would be.

I have a single action fuel pump in the parts stash now- one with those glass bowls on it. I am not using vacuum wipers. so a single action would be fine.

I believe you'll have to make certain that whatever fuel pump you use is correct to deliver both the right fuel pressure and volume to whatever carburetor you use.
They're mated pairs.
Some pumps use a thin metal spacer mounting to the block where others use the thick spacer.

You may be able to sell your Carter carb and pump to offset the cost of a YS-637S and dual-action fuel pump (even if you don't need it for wipers).
I believe there's demand for them in the CJ and MB-GPW community.

as I said on your "wanted" post, the wo will work fine, paired with the glass bowl pump in your stash you have a working combination to get you rolling till the "right stuff" comes along. There is a learning curve involved with the YS637 for folks accustomed to typical carbs with mechanically activated accelerator pumps. Once you "get it" they are a joy. I have a CJ with a WO, and a YS637 on my M38, I have to remember which one im driving so as not to anger the carter gods.

The replacement (used) radiator came in from Midwest Military. Looks good!

Still need some stuff---- working on what is next in the side quest list.

I didn’t do much today. Pollen is bad and it was 90 degrees. I’m not ready for this heat yet!

Went to get the hardware to fit this.

Messing with this. Stupid Dzus fasteners did t fit the panel, I made the hole slightly bigger and that worked, but one showed and that passes me off,

One fastener wouldn’t sit right... need to work on the panel bend.

I only got maybe 30 minutes on the Jeep. I was sweating and my little dog Kaiser was just solar charging all day. He refused to go in the house to the AC with the other two.

I like the bling (rotating beacon and siren)!

What are those front turn signals? CJ?
Interesting mounting for them....can you show a close up how you did it?

Yes they are CJ lights.
And yes I know I need to get around to finishing the grill welt. It's just hanging now till I get better rivets installed.
