Been trying to figure out why my m38a1 with a 950ys carter carburetor run rich. Pulled to air horn off while on the jeep and the bowl was empty. Put gas in the bowl and 10 minutes later it was empty again. So I'm assuming it's not suppose the do this as I've never seen a carb that drained out like this. No leaks on outside of carb, seems to be going down the throat. Any idea's where a leak might be coming from or should I be looking for a crack in the housing.

Look for a crack between the bowl wall and the venturi first. Also make sure none of the small parts in the various ports are missing.
