Hello all,
I am still working on reconditioning the frame on my M-38 and find the driver's side tie rod is slightly bent. I think that must be damage from a previous owner and the diagram in the TM appears to be straight. Hoping I don't sound foolish, could someone confirm for me that both tie rods should be straight.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Yes, both are straight.

Listed on page 269 of the September 1955 ORD9, the left tube is 17-1/4 inches long and the right is 18-7/8 inches long.

Good luck!

Thanks, I was 99% certain it shouldn't be bent, but just wanted to make sure before I bought a new one. The help here is incredible for those of us who are mechanically inclined, but working on our first Willys...
Thanks again,
Dennis
