Hi there !
I am brand new in this forum. I am from Brazil and i would like to know if someone could help me about the M38 lift shackles. Due the shipping charges and tax, i intend to laser cut and fold these parts by myself to install in my 1949 CJ3A. So, is there anyone that have the drawing about these parts ( front and rear if possible)
Sorry about my english
Thanks and Regards from Brazil

I assume you intend to adapt the M38 lifting shackles to your CJ3A? Shouldn't be a problem. I am surprised with the large number of M38's and M38A1's shipped to Brazil's military over the years, that you cannot find any local surplus fittings. If no one has any drawings by this evening I can photograph and measure two of mine. Are you aware the US Marine Crop. used a special set of those lifting shackles?

Hi Wesk !
Thanks a lot for your informations ! Yes, we've received a lot of M38 and M38A1 for the military, but after the start of production in Brazilian Willys plant (1958 i guess) these jeeps were sold in auctions with the spare parts....long time ago....now there is no surplus avaiable for a reasonable costs.... Crying or Very sad
A M38 good jeep price is beyond my dreams if you know what i mean...
This is the reason i intend to install military acessories in my CJ3A. I already have the spare tire mount, the bumperettes, the pintle hook, the trailer outlet...but some details i have been looking for....
Thanks again for your attention !
Regards
Fernando
