Please take a look at the area of the armature the arrows are pointing to. I am currently rebuilding the generator and see the shellac has peeled off and disintegrated from this area. Does this need to be corrected by re-applying a shellac substance?

Also, has anyone found a place to get replacement seals and bearings for the auto-lite generator?

After posting, I did come along this page. Thanks Wes.

How about the internal bearings and seals, anyone have a source for those?

There are two old NOS kits that show up from time to time on ebay and at vendors.

Brush Kit - 8333708 (AL# KIT140) (NSN 2920-00-569-8901)
Repair kit - 8333709 (AL# KIT141) (NSN 2920-00-569-8902)
