I don't know if this belongs to Chuck or he's just bringing it to the boards attention but it does look like the basis for a good project. Can anyone make out the serial number and DOD?

M38a1 Willys Kaiser Military Jeep - $3500
I have for sale a 1964 Kaiser Willys M38a1 Jeep. This jeep came from army surplus to Laflore County Mississippi and has never been titled. This jeep is in extremely good condition with very minimal rust. It has the original radiator, engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, wheels and many small parts. It has a Kellys hard top that is in good condition(missing rear flat glass) windows go up and down. The engine runs rough as if a valve is stuck. I serviced the anti-freeze in it and ran up to operating temperature. The back of the jeep has been bumped and will have to be repaired. This is a very clean jeep for its age, the fuel tank well and tool box is good and solid.

Are those seats Military issue. I have the same seats in my M38 when I got it. I wasn't sure if mine were original or not. I kept them cause the springs were still in decent shape but got new canvas with foam inserts. _________________ Rusty, 1952 M38, Koenig hard top.
They look darker than the original A1 seat covers and the right seat cushion looks lower than stock. _________________ Wes K
