The sides are actually straight vertical and the same width all the way up. It simply has a turned out cuff at the top that is slanted slightly upwards. This cuff helps direct what you are tossing into the trailer more directly into the box. When the box is overstuffed this cuff helps the excess remain in the box. The WWII version (MBT, T3 & etc) and the civilian T3C also had this cuff installed at the top of the box sides. _________________ Wes K
