I'm rebuilding my M38 engine and I would like to know what is the safest way to deal with the oil pump ? I have 3 or 4 originals but I'm not sure if they are any good. Is there a way to check them off the engine , or does anyone sell a good one. I've seen NOS ones for sale but I'm a little leary.

Check your TM9-1804A. Should have all the teardown,
inspection and rebuild instructions.

Most shop manuals cover checking them out for serviceability. Engine overhaul section. John

If you don't have the manuals they are free to download
in the downloads section.

Take care,
Brian

Ps. 3 or 4? Sounds like you might have some trade material!
