M38a1 U joint

Need to replace my u joints, i know part number is 936686, which have found (have to order). Was looking around and the local auto stores have ones that would work under the cj5 series. I went to rockauto, and found other ones for cheaper. My question is, does anyone know how the new cheaper ones will hold up compared to the correct ones ? It seems like now days joints would be supperior to the old ones, and the m38a1 avg owner who loves his, isn't going to change much, so it will still remain light, and then not much torque will be required. Not like we haul howitzer up hill with theses ( besideds the odd re-inactor). Also wondering if going with one out side of a military supplier, would Dana Spicer brand be best, or it not matter much ? Just looking for facts, not to be flamed over " just shut up and buy the correct part from military supplier " responses plz. Never done u joint replacement (watched youtube), just like to know more on comparison of the actual part, thx in advance for any info.

Find yourself some Spicer 1310 joints and you'll be good to go.

I installed new Moog joints on mine. No complaints aside from the small grease fitting.

In my personal opinion, as long as you're going with a reputable brand, and greasing regularly, you can't really go wrong...
