I have a lineup for a reproduction CJ3A rad which is the early style with the bottom mount studs for $100. The rads I have now look like they will need lots of work and buying this one would be a lot less rework.
My question comes with the rad cap and tube. Both rads I have has a line coming off the rad cap tube and runs down side of rad and leads nowhere. This repop rad also has a line coming off of it. Do I need an overflow tank to run this line to or is it just suppose to run down the side of rad?
Its made to use a rubber hose to run across the top of the radiator and down the side to the bottom to let off coolant over flow. There might be a clip to fasten the hose to on the side. _________________ Harold W.

Thank you Harold. I think I will attach it to an overflow bottle. I saw a few examples and looks ok if I can find a small reservoir. _________________ 1952 M38 project

Although not original it will at least get you hugs from the environmentalists!
It was a handy alert when you saw the small yellow circle of coolant on the ground that she is either running hot or the cap relief is getting week. _________________ Wes K
