Should the inside of the bellhousing get painted? I'd say it was not originally based on mine. Thanks |

Cute. Is there any benefit? Could the paint flake in time and cause problems? |

Jeeps leak oil. You could argue that they aren't supposed to but they do anyway, from a number of places - including the rear crankshaft seal. The inside of the bellhousing tends to be an oily place. At least mine was when I installed a new clutch on my M38, there was no corrosion. Paint if you wish, or not, it won't make any difference in the operation or longevity of your Jeep. _________________ 1951 M38 |
