I wouldn't use the A-5. That was a left over from the old Army Air Force Line of March number for Army companies. By the early 50's that had virtually disappeared from Air Force trucks. Most SAC bases required the "SAC" somewhere in all that numbering.

In many cases the SAC or PAFB often showed up by itself in the middle on a license plate.
