Notice I typed the word bold and underlined above " ACCURATELY" meaning use the same professional equipment the auto machinist is using in his shop for these measurements. And yes the full length of the piston in the hole is in the TM 9-1804A. You must spend a lot of time measuring because you should be placing each ring in each bore and checking gap then see what the end result is when each ring is married to the bore it fits best in. And do not forget that it is best to start at the beginning.
1-Match each piston to the bore it fits best in.
2-Match each ring to the bore it fits best in.
3-Check each ring in a bore set for the proper groove fit to it's assigned piston. _________________ Wes K
