Looking at the TM 9 parts manual from the download section I just want to make sure I understand it correctly as Im still learning how to read the ordinance part numbers, after serial number MD 11440 they did away with the two left hand threaded suspension U Shackles and used all right hand. Getting ready to order a set with the reinforced side plates for a 1953 and just wanted to double check. Thanks

My M38A1 was built 10/52, and I recently ordered a set from John at MW Military that include two with left-hand threads. I suspect he would know what you need and have them on hand. You can count on them being quality units.

MD11440 is the correct switch to all right thread shackle bushings in the M38A1 ORD 9 SNL G-758. However it is a bit vague in that it doesn't appear to list a left hand threaded U Bolt. It does show the two left hand threaded bushings (bearings) thru MD11440 and it does show only right hand threaded bushings (bearings) after MD11440.

Yes Tim I have ordered from Midwest Military great guy to deal with. Thanks Wes for confirming that. Guess all the pictures and infomation I saved from this website regarding left hand shackles wI'll not be needed in my case. Sad looks like I will be ordering all right hand shackles.
