Refurbishing my wire harness. Need the measurement of the fender mounted black out light wire, believe its #31. This for m38a1. Need the measurement from the where breaks off the main harness to the light its self. Mine was broken about a foot after branch, and have no idea. Also anyone know where i could get a pig tail of the distributor wire, inexpensively ?

Also how long is the fuel gauge to gas tank wire, and is there any pictures showing exactly how its ran ?

I have checked the manuals, but can only find numbers and generic paths.

Here's a link to one of Wes' photo pages-from the TM:
http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=album116&id=Firewall_Index_small&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

You can see the BO light wiring right there with the horn wiring and
should be able to make a decent guess.

Do you need the distributor plug or the whole wire?

I just need the plug and about 2 inches (Minimum) good wire attached, to connect it to my harness. My wire is broke at neck of the plug.

In Wes' photos is a colored diagram of wiring for the A1.

It doesn't give length but shows the wire going from the sender to the left
side of the tub, along it forward, then up and back across to the right
to the gauge. I think you could grab some wire and estimate the length
that way. The only thing not shown is whether it goes through the firewall
and joins the main harness then comes back or turns right and up inside the
tub, then joins the main then splits back off to the gauge.

And here is a photo by Wilfreeman username:
http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=Wilfreeman&id=tank&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

Note the wire runs back diagonally across the tank and not at right angles

He did a full resto and has a separate website with lots of photos.

For what it's worth it looks like the wire runs up inside the back of the
dash, goes forward, then right over to the gauge.
