|
|
I searched the site to find pictures of the routing and clips for the parking brake.
Several old posts came up that looked ideal, but the pictures didn't show as pictures.
They are probably in the Photo gallery. Does one go through frame by frame until we find what we want? _________________ M38 CDN 52-30105

A real treat is aligning the bracket and brace while installing the 2 bolts.
It helps to be a origami yoga contorsionist..

Quote: | And if you look on the fender in line where the cable comes out of the firewall there should be a wee hole for another clamp. |
That's already covered under the left fender hole ID chart in my "M38 Body" sub-album.
All one needs to do is visit my photo album!!!!

Same way I did. I stuck the camera through the instrument cluster hole and pointed the camera to the left and snapped the picture. _________________ Wes K

A while ago Oilly and I put forth a question to each other- the biggest PITA to accomplish with our "old guy" hand/motor skills and here we are..
Wes had it easy, just cut away the dash and firewall for easy access. Why didn't we think of that Oilly?? _________________ keep 'em rollin'

On mine, there was a twisted "P" clamp that bolts to one of the bell housing lower side bolts. This helps hold the park brake cable from contacting the exhaust header pipe and also keeps it out of the way of the pedals as they move downwards. The repro cables come with a black plastic sheath and ends that do not fit the cable end stop clamps. I carefully sawed and split the repro ends off the cable and found the core now fits the original end stop clamps. Don't nick the inner strands! John |
