I have 2 tubs that can be repaired (but lots of work though). I think at least for me it would be less work even if I have to cut and weld and move a few holes than to repair a ton of rust, just my thoughts though. I'd like to finish mine so my grandson can take it to his senior prom (he's 5). Keep at it and good luck.

A very common problem with MD Juan is that the RF fender center brace will need to be spot weld cut off. Mount the fender to the grill and tub, then re-locate the center brace. The shifter cover can be fixed by oval cutting the existing hole out, turn it 180 and weld it back in. It's common for the MB/ GPW to have a tub 1/4 inch too long in over all length. Go to the CJ2A page and sit down with lots of coffee and read through it all. Finding a fixable original tub is sometimes hard, but money well spent. John
