Hi, can anybody help me out with the size of these please? I need to weld in replacements - I have one remaining cage (with no nut!) and the other side is missing completely.

Thanks

Vince,
I'll go check your Ord 9 ( and you can too) but I'm betting off the cuff they are
5/16". Probably the same as the front cowl to fender bolts and nuts.

Many thanks for your help Brian - I don't find the Ord 9 the easiest document to use - maybe I don't have a logical enough mind!

Regards

Hi Vince,
In that case Google or Yahoo search is your friend.

Surplus City is one of several vendors that has many of the diagrams
and part numbers from the Ord's on their webpage.

Here you can find the 3/8" bolts for the mounts into the frame,
and both 5/16-18 bolts and nuts for the fenders:

http://www.surplusjeep.com/M38A1/m38a1-group_17_fender-hood.htm

Take care,

Those caged nuts are sguare, not hex. They won't spin in the cage that way. John
