Does anyone know what Font and point size was used to stamp the aluminum wire markers found on the M 38 Jeeps? I am aware some wires had bigger wire markers but the most numerous wire markers are on the 14 gauge wires.

Can't answer your question Trip but an
important point is fonts only came about after
computers were invented. It's an electronic
measuring and lettering style.

They may resemble lettering styles from the old days
but are entirely electronic in nature.

You'll probably have to find number stamps with
the correct numbers and size, though the vendors
probably had them cut similar to print stamps so they
could mass produce them.

For what it's worth I have a couple dozen
of those markers and there are at least two
styles of numbers.

Take care,

Thanks Brian. I wanted to keep the Jeeps as correct as possible. I have several sets of stamps but the smallest set is still too large.

I did a lot of research on this. These are what I was able to put together.
