I used this method on my M38

Buy two, 2 1/2" 10 mm bolts with nuts and washers
Buy or use, Two 3/8" drive Crow's feet (I used a 7/16" and 11 mm)
A standard timing gear puller like at Autozone (they give a 10% disc. for Vets)

I used Chinese Crow's feet. You may have to file the 3/8" opening just a little to get the 10 mm through the Crow's feet. But a round file made quick work of the Chinese feet. Also, you can grind down the bolt heads for more clearance, but I didn't need to do so.

The Crow's feet don't fit against the hub, they fit to the side or opposite the hub. But I had no problem getting the hub off this way. There was only a bit of scratches on the gear once it was removed.

Thanks for your patience Wes. I hope I did this right!

Awesome and innovative.
A lot better setup than I used to get mine off. I used the same AZ puller but made some claws or feet out of some scrap steel and nuts.
