Dear all,

This M38A1 is 100% Nekaf.
Note the "R" of Rotterdam on the patent plate, the small city lights and...
the two footman type loops on both sides of the right front light (used to fasten the blue or green column light filters used by de Dutch Army)
I found some frame numbers near MD12845 and it might be a late 56 or early 57 jeep
MD12841 1956 KP-78-94
MD12842 1956 KP-78-93
MD12852 1957 KX-58-97

I am interested in the Nekaf production number stamped in the upper left corner of the patent plate just beside the screw.

Regards,

Harold Bergers

Hello Jan Olof,

I hope that friend of yours still owns that Nekaf M38A1.

Last week I received some old auction catalogues containing more than 475 new serial numbers for my database.

The MD12845 was auctioned on tuesday 6 July 1982 as part of lot #83 (10 M38A1's). That day 200 M38A1's were auctioned (20 lots of 10 jeeps)
The catalogue shows the following information:

MD12845
1956
KP-77-92 (= military registration number / number plate)

All vehicles were stored in the large military surplus storage yard in Soesterberg, Holland.
