I am looking for the Antenna mount that goes on top of the spare tire carrier that hold the MX6707 base for the AS-1729 antenna for the VRC-12 Family of radios for the M38a1.
I downloaded the diagram of the SC-75367 from the Yahoo site but it is the wrong wount. it is the slant back for the early radios.
What I am looking for is SC-425949 with support assy SC-189024.
THe support assy is a bracket on top of the mount that holds the MX6707 base.
If somebody has fabrication plans for this unit I would really like a set.
call me if you have a unit to sell 619-370-1830

I know Buzz real well, He helped me get into green radios. I purchased a few from his friend and had him repair my prc25. We finally got to meet at tower park last week. I talked with him about an A1 that was there that had that mount and he did say that they are rare. His friend thought that the mounts were designed for the marine corp since they used m38a1s all through the 60s.
