Well guys, us old timers learned the answer to that question by setting down and comparing the part listings in both manuals. Both manuals are free for you to download here in our downloads section.

Also the loose use of the word "Interchangeable" makes a decent call tough.
Strictly speaking, based on my definition of interchangeable, not many. I interpret interchangeability as like parts with no mods needed to use them and preferably meeting the same spec. There are many parts that can be taken from one, modified and made to work on the other and then there are many parts that meet a different spec but will function to some level in the other application.
But if you are looking for a detailed list of absolutes that requires a lot of time and study by someone and usually eventually appears in a book that that person has received a decent return on! _________________ Wes K

In general, anything that is a part of the running gear or suspension or otherwise fitted to the unique body styles of these two vehicles will likely not interchange. Parts that are supplemental in nature such as M-series vehicle electrical components may interchange. So, springs - no, engine - no, steering gear - no, instrument cluster gauges - yes, voltage regulator - yes, generator - yes, tires - yes, military turn signal flasher - yes, etc. _________________ 1951 M38
