Is there supposed to be some type of putty b/t the floor panels in my M38? There was something like that there when I took mine apart but im not sure if I need to go back with it or not.

You are talking about the transmission panel and others correct...

There was a sealer, type of putty there... it is not required, unless you are doing a factory resto IMO...

You can find it at ACE hardware... in the weatherproofing section... It is a roll of 8 3/16" beads... I posted the part number on one of the boards last year... will try to find it...

Found it over on the "G"

The stuff I use is ACE# 52515 Rope Caulk Weatherstrip White. It comes in 30 ft rolls with 8 beads of caulking in parallel rows... One roll is enought to do several jeeps... I think I paid about $5 for it...

Works really well when warm...
