Thanks for plotting what you did for yours Don (and Wes, for the editing).

Only one question before I print this for my notebook --- about hole #2: according to the manual, the 3 extra long studs (3-7/8 inch) go under the engine lifting eye plate in holes 1, 2, and 7.

Did you use one of the long 3-7/8 studs in hole #2, or one of your Dorman 3-5/8 inch studs?

(Dorman part number 675-013)

Error in my stud replacement info.

Stud #2 was not replaced.
Stud #3 was replaced with one of the slightly longer studs.
So, the three studs associated with the lifting ring were not replaced.



As I recall Rolling Eyes
When purchasing new head studs I was confused by the KW ad for the studs used with the lifting ring. KW said two were needed. I did end up buying three but never measured them. They were not replaced because they were plenty tall enough.

Sorry for the error.

BTW.
The replacement stud I used on #5 position which holds the crossover tube bracket is still a tad short with one thread above the nut.
