Does anyone have pictures of the engine side of original m38a1 fenders. I think mine are aftermarket and this could be why they won't bolt to the frame. If you can send me some to gwkj@aol.com I would appreciate it. Thanks

On my 1954 M-38A1, the driver's front fender does not bolt to the chassis. Bolts to the tub and front grill only...

I know the m38a1 fenders from late 53 to when they stopped making the m38a1 the fenders didn't bolt to the frame. The grill bolted to the crossmember.

Looks like the fender switch actually occurred at MD73455 Mar 54 in the ORD 9.

Wes, do you have a picture of the fender to frame attachment? My MD-64580 doesn't show any signs of ever having the fenders bolted to the frame...cowl and grille only.
