This was a spare part included with the M38 (59,449 -July 1952) which has been in my family since 1975; I picked up the jeep from my sister in 2019. The plate on the starter says it is an Autolite AXS-1851 MC7-4091Ut s/n 3G044935.

I do not know if it works, or that it does not work. But I am in garage cleanout mode, so the best offer gets it. You pay shipping or pick up in suburban Boston MA.

The part number is off a bit. Should be MCZ4001UT.





Best if you post a closeup photo of starter and it's data plate.

wes was right; it's the late model one and i misread the data tag.

i have good pictures but cannot get them to show in reply, what is the trick to that?
