1952 M38. I just added an Satrn Overdrive. I have put 1 quart and 20 ounces of gear lube after draining and installing the OD, and the lube is still not overflowing out of the fill access, which I thought was how you were supposed to know it was full. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal?
Thank You

There is a hole between the tranny and transfer that lets the fluid transfer. It is located near the top of the divide on the right side. You have to account for this internal transfer activity. Review your service manual carefully.
