I need expert advice about this carburetor that I purchased years ago.
Is it a correct YS-950S for my 1954 M38A1?
Many thanks.

It appears to be correct. There is only one YS950S. So your real question is is it a correctly configured/assembled YS950S. Just go to my photo album where I keep a thousand or so educational photos and review my M38 and M38A1 Fuel Albums. They are on our "Photo Albums" page. My album is the second one.

This is the "M38 Fuel System" album: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=album83&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

This is the "M38A1 Fuel System" album: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=album115&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

Between these two albums you should easily be able to discern between the YS637S and the YS950S carbs.
