Hello all,
well spring is here and I've got some holidays so I've started to pull the fleet out and get them ready for the season.
The M201 has developed a seized front wheel cylinder and the 24v dip switch has broken internally.
the m38 is OK.
The M41 is still in a side ward and the M35 is all tickety boo.
However...... the batteries on the M41-M35 have finally died, well they came with the trucks curtesy of Uncle SAM some years ago so I can't complain. But I did get to thinking........
when I was cleaning the bat terminals I noticed some electric erosion where the teminals and the bolts and clamps haven't fitted exactly flush against each other.
Apart from making sure all the surfaces are gleaming shiny and giving them a coat of vaseline to keep the O2 out what tips have you guys got for keeping good contact at the bat terminals and leads??
Thanks,
Dave.

Hi Dave, we started the season last sunday with the club. In fact we drove with the jeep all Winter, it is better for the engine to use it regulary.

I think with new and modern batteries you would not have the corrosion on the terminals, i sprayed blank paint on them as they use as last painting coating on mettalic paint ( two layers paint)

In the past my father also uses vasiline on the terminals.

all the best Erik

Hi there,
great to hear that.
Here we use sald NaCl sodium chloride and and NaKCl soduim pottasium chloride on our roads in winter to melt the ice, it also, melts the jeep!
So I have to stay off the roads in winter as other than Italian cars have have never found anything that Bio-degrades faster than a jeep on English roads.
See you at Ursel,
All the best to you and you family,
Dave.
