How is the small auxiliary plug located on the firewall of early M38's connected to the power supply. My wiring harness did not have this item prewired. I am assuming I will have to tie into another wire... but which one? Doe anybody out there have a functioning auxiliary plug? Once this is done I am also assuming that the power supplied to the lug will be 24v. Where can I find the appropriate connector type plug so that i can use this plug as it was intended...to provide power to auxiliary equipment. For example I would like to be able to plug a spot light into this plug, if i can get it working.

Any idea on the type of equipment that the military might have plugged into this receptacle while in the field?
Thanks,

They probably pluged in a spot light, or emergency lights or trouble lights or fleet type radios. It had it's own power lead right off the top circuit breaker in the trio mounted on the inboard side of the cowl battery box.

You should be able to match a Cannon plug assembly to it.
