Wes, can I use a Champion //XMJ-17 MS35909-2 in my M38? I had these left over from the M38A1 that I sold. I believe that the Marvel Mystery oil fouled the plugs that where in there.

The -17 is a hotter plug so it's tip will run hotter in the L134. This is ok so long as you don't suffer from pre-ignition with them (pinging) The hotter plug is often used in the L134 when fowling plugs becomes an issue.

There in and so far no pings and i's running better. I was thinking about trying some high test gas, to help clean things up, what do you think

A couple of gallons of 100LL Avgas would do it.
