Hey guys i was wondering if any body has bought a top from SURPLUS CITY.My boss bought me one a year ago,for Christmas ,and it doesn't fit too good!! i got new rods from Midwest Military, the windshield to bows and the straps that goes on front bow is 3 inches off. My side curtains are so tight i tore one trying to latch it on the rear to the top ! Here are a few pictures of the problem with the top.

I see they havent changed much then. I purchased one from them over 20 yrs ago for another M38 I owned and although the fit wasnt all that bad......the straps on the back didnt line up very well and a pair of NOS side curtains attached to the top very poorly.....The top did wear real good though. THe jeep sat outside a lot and the top was still in good shape when I sold the vehicle in 1999. Still wouldnt purchase another one from them though because for what they cost the fit could have been a lot better

I bought a summer top for my M-38 last Christmas (new repro body &bows) from Beachwood Canvas in New Jersey and it fits like a glove and is nicely sown together. FYI Regards Dennis. Smile Smile
