The intake is most likely from a DJ3A. I have one that came from a DJ3A and uses a civilian YF carburetor. The larger bore on the carburetor gives the flat head a whopping 3 more horsepower!!
If more information is needed, I can take pictures and give the carburetor model number. For now, it is not stock for your M38---I would run it until you can source the correct parts, if that is what you want to do. Original M38 intake manifolds are pricey as are the carburetors. _________________ Harold W.
