I usually call it the engine lift bracket.
John at Midwest Military makes a good reproduction.

You can ask at www.automotivemachine.net for the three guys that were selling jeep parts at Iola. They should be able to put you in touch. |

All,
I was one of the guys at Iola two weeks ago. We have the repro lifting brackets in stock. One of the guys made some up last year, based on an original one I have. The name of the guy you want to speak to is Chuck, and his phone number is (248) 797-3553. I think he wants $50.00 each.
Wes, Chuck is the guy who sold you the engine. We are in the Detroit area.
Automotive Machine is our engine re-builder/machinist. He does all of our re-bores, crank grinding, etc. They do not have the lifting brackets, but they do great work on motors.
BTW: We decided to build a Jeep from that M38 frame and I am going to buy and restore the trailer we had for sale. |
