Is there a difference between the therostats used on the various Willys Jeep models? My engine came with a funky PE95 generator thermostat and I will be looking for a thermostat soon. I have an old thermostat from a Willys L134 but I am not sure if it will be correct. It will need a rebuild so I am wondering if it would just be better to buy a new one. If more info is needed I can post a picture of the Willys thermostat that I have.

Thanks,

Dave

If you review all the ORD 7, 8 & 9's you'll come up with a succession of 5 different thermostats. They are
Willys
637646 (HR) 3108628 G503-0400093
646812 (SDH) SA752-8 (ORD) 7348571 (Stk) G740-7348571
646232 (ORD) 8329966 (STK) G716-8329966
XXXXXX (ORD) 5307509 (STK) G179 (FSN) 2930-530-8571 (6620-530-7509)
812050

If you review Dennis Spence's booklet "Army Vehicle Parts Guide" 1987 he lists 10 manufacturers and shows them all common to the MB/M38?M38A1/M715.

Stant S335 or S335H
Napa 70 or 170
Standard-Thompson-Waltham W105 or W105H
Bridgeport 335-160 or 335-180
Dole (Nozzle type) DVN-1 or DVN-1H, (Butterfly type) DV-1 or DV-1H
Edelmann E105-160 or E105-180
Gates 33006 or 33008 and old# 5506 or 5508
Delco (Harrison) 106P or 108P
Ideal 30006 or 30008
Autostat/Fulton/RobertShaw 335-160 or 335-180

Thanks Wes. Good information. I'll check out those sources.
