I did a oil and fiter change yesterday and when I checked it today Iam about a 1/4 of a quart low can anyone measure the length of the oil fill tube for me mine must be off. Thanks Lee

Make sure you are using the M38A1 dipstick not the M38. They are interchangable.

I posted the lengths of the dipsticks, measure from the underside of the dipstick cap.

M38 25 1/4 inches

M38A1 27 11/32 inches long

Dipstik is correct length, Iam measuring 17" from were the tube goes into the block to the top of the pipe without the stik on. Thanks Scott

Did you fill the oil filter housing when you changed the filter. If you didn't that's where the 1/4 quart went.
