Instead of letting my brake drums revert to rust after I have them nice and shiny I have thought about painting them black with some temperature resistant paint, or I could paint them OD. What have some others done with their brake drums? I also thought about using POR-15 on them. Any Ideas?

Thanks, Alan

I sandblasted mine and used a high temperature version of POR-15. Breaks get really hot, any other normal paint that doesn't resist heat will burn off.

Don't bother painting the inner part of the drum where the breakpads will touch. It'll just rub right off. Everywhere else though, I'd paint.
