In the SNL it lists a seal for the floor...

COVERS:
G740-7697422 COVER, access, brake cylinder inspection (Note: The last 3 of this part number should be 522)
G740-7697578 COVER, access, transmission
While walking the aisles of ACE Hardware yesterday I came accross the perfect replacement fot this sealer, from the old stuff I peeled off my tub; I think this is the correct replacement. It is called Rope Caulk Weatherstrip, I bought the white and it comes in a 30 ft roll with 8 beads of 3/16" width. I will be trying this out today on the Engine heater cutout plate to see how it works...
I found this in the weather stripping aisle...
If you cannot find it let me know and arrangementts can be made...
Sorry for the delay on the results of my weatherstiping.
It worked well, I have been keeping the rope caulk as it is called in the glove box and decided to try it today. (I am on vacation for 2 weeks).
I applied it to the floor under the heater plate and brake cover; worked great. I pulled a strip off the roll and placed it on the floor and it held the parts in place and went flat with no trouble... Definately a warm weather project. The caulk is easy to work when warm.
