I am trying to figure out if the axe I have will mount like it is suppose to on the M38 tub.
There wasn't an axe handle bracket attached to the tub or any holes drilled for it.
Can you tell me if the photo of the bracket has the correct dimentions, and exactly where does it mount on the tub. Oh yeah, the axe is a 4 lb plumb with a 31 1/2" handle length measured from the tip of the handle butt to the insertion point in the axe head. I didn't have a photo posted of the axe, but can get one if you want to see it.

That bracket looks like the repro one I mounted on my M-38 CDN, I mounted mine just above and behind the passenger step. Ryan Miller sent me a pattern for the holes on the passenger side, but the axe I bought would not go thru the bracket, so I moved it to fit the axe.

I bought the axe from a gent that sais it came off an M-38...

My 2 cents worth.
