Fellows,
My M38's 24V generator regulator just died... I'm having problems to find another one in good conditions here in Brazil.
So if some colleague knows about where I can find a good one to buy, please let me know!.
Which regulator did you have? Mechanical (Auto-Lite, Prestolite, Delco), or Transistorized ( Vap Air / Motorola )? The mechanicals are easily repaired and there is slowly surfacing some data and parts info to support repair of the others.
Trust yourself and follow the Manual TM 9-1825B dated 1952 for Auto-Lite/Prestolite and TM 9-8627 Dated 1953 for Delco. The most common problem is dirty and sticking contacts. You clean and dress those contact points the same way you do ignition points. A very fine metal point file and a quality electric contact cleaner. _________________ Wes K
