Hillbilly
If you make a run ot the coast, stop by, I have a crate full of lifting brackets that I have removed off junk jeeps for the last 30 years. The problem is, I would not know what a M38 lifting bracket looks like from a M38A1 bracket. It is just a crate full of brackets.
They just landed a 883 pound Marlin this week, so the fishing is good.
One of the few, Frank USMC RET

Hello Frank,
One of these days I am going to make it over your way and visit.

The M38 and the M38A1 and the M170 all use the same rear lift brackets and rings. The early M38 uses the rear brackets and rings on the front as well. Late M38 and M38A1 and M170 all use the same front bracket and rings.

M151 is different.

Rear for M38, M38A1, M170 (this same set is used on the front of the very early M38's.

Early M38 front used same set from the rear.

Late m38, all M38A1 & M170 front.

The M38A1 when it had the USMC lifting fittings looked like this:

The kit.

Front fittings were bigger in diameter.

Rear view.
