I finally did it! Got my 1953 M38a1 to move out under it's own power! The jeep had been surplussed out as a non-working jeep in 1984. I'm the third owner since the Jeep's Army Discharge.

I've had lots of ups and downs, and still have a long ways to go. I discovered an oil leak on the drive. There's a squeak on the clutch linkage and I still need to do some steering linkage lubrication. All the rubber seals are as hard as a rock. Sanding on the hood and cancer rust on the windshield frame.

So, take a look and let me know what you think!

Thanks! I am pretty excited!

Thanks for the ride!!!! That video is so good that it's like I'm along for the ride sitting right there beside you. Very Happy And the jeep sounds great and looks like it's in exceptional condition. The problems you mentioned are normal fare for these old goats and can be taken off your to-do-list one at a time with a little TLC. But at least it's running and the fun continues!!! Good luck.....
