Hello all,
I have a friend here in Canada who bought a US M38. As the M38CDN are rare in USA, as the US models are rare in Canada.
This jeep was in not too bad shape but the only data plate still available was behind the passenger seat and the number on this plate is 38488. Does the serial number of this M38 is the same and what would the DOD?

That serial number should put it in the 10/51 to 11/51 date range. If you look in the download section of this forum you will find the complete database of serial numbers as well as lots of other manuals and repair lists.
