I searched the site and didn't find anything negative about the Melling oil pump. I have an L134 with a timing change and would like to replace the oil pump. Is the Melling a good replacement?
Thanks

I have used Melling for years on 60's muscle cars that I restored - have had no problem. I mostly used the high volume rather than the hight pressure pumps. This day and time, I recommend you tear any new pump down and clean it up good - Sonny

My son, and a customer put one in, ran for a while and then pop, broken teeth, ruined cam. No warrenty. Beware! They both re-built their original pumps and won't buy another. It took out the cam too! one was brand new. I'm not buying a Melling. Twisted Evil

Thanks for the information. I think I have concerns enough to pass on the Melling. Now I'm worried what the pump was in my overhaul kit that was installed on my CJ2A. It is working good but only has a few miles on it.

I have one on my MB which came in an engine overhaul set done about 8,000-10,000km's since 2009 so I would not be too worried if I were you.
