Zane? Modified? Dean? Wes? Hillbilly? Jimmy? Quality?

I need some help with dimensions for the tailgate stretcher guard. I have a bent up one for some reference dimensions but it is pretty bad; not a flat surface anywhere. I need the distance from the tailgate to the inside of the guard. If you pictured the guard form the side it would look like a top hat. I need the distance from the gate to the inside top of the hat (or outside and I'll subtract material thickness , just let me know what it is). A quick sketch would help as I don't know if the legs are symetrical or asymetrical: I.E. are the legs and angles the same for the top and bottom.
Any help would be appreciated. It's my last piece to repair before the final paint on the final pieces and she will be ready to go and show.

Hi,

The spacing between the tailgate surface to the inner face of the "hat" is 140mm (exactly 14cm). Both angles (top and bottom) are the same.
After all bends are done, the total spacing between top and bottom end of the stretcher guard is 215mm(21.5cm). I'm sorry if my only measuring tape at the moment reads dimensions in metric system only. Cool
