Good grief - do you think they included enough pictures: http://tinyurl.com/3es4rff (ebay sale of a "restored" M38) It just looks so wrong in gloss yellow . . .

OK, so he calls it a FJ when it's clearly not a Japenese Jeep knock-off. He painted it bright yellow and waxed it. But what gets me is all the misspellings and missing words. He's touting a business with this?

It does look nice that the frame and axles are painted black while the body is yellow. Looks pretty, but does it run? Remember Donald Sutherland in the "Dirty Dozen"? Pretty but can they fight?

Waste of an M38. There are plenty of CJ's out there...which are nice to have...why butcher an M series? I am looking at a CJ2 now and am seeing it with a JD green paint job with yellow wheels.... (smile)

I had a fellow looking at My M38 several years back telling me how it would be... "better...all jacked up, painted red, with big tars and a chevy V-8 in it." He wanted to know if I would let him.. "take it off my hands for a couple hundred dollars 'cause no-body wanted them old army jeeps 'cause they are so #@$%@ ugly and slow."

Takes all kinds.

Beats me. I saw another M38 on eBay in Oregon not too long ago that was "restored" bright yellow just like this one.
